Complete the e-learning module
Required to complete
Finish the PADI Basic Freediver e-learning, including the knowledge reviews and final quiz, before in-water sessions begin.
Confined water: shallow pool coaching
Required to complete
Complete the shallow-end confined-water session: breath-up, static apnea introduction, recovery breathing, and surface rescue. Foundational drills before moving to the deep end.
Confined water: deep pool coaching
Required to complete
Complete the deep-end confined-water session: duck dive, equalisation on descent, finning to the bottom, and a controlled ascent. Pre-requisite for the 5m sign-off.
Static apnea (STA) at 1:30
Target: 1m 30s
Hold the breath face-down on the surface for 1 minute 30 seconds or longer with a buddy running tap signals, then complete the recovery breathing protocol.
Dynamic with bifins (DYN-B) at 25m
Target: 25 m
Swim 25 metres or more horizontally in the pool on a single breath with bifins, holding streamline and surfacing with a clean recovery protocol.
Constant weight (CWT) at 5m
Target: 5 m
Descend to 5 metres in the pool under your own power with fins or monofin, turn cleanly, and ascend with a clean surface protocol.
Who this course is for
- Age 12 and above
- Can swim or snorkeling 200m
